Project Brief
The cultural organization wanted to increase awareness of their event and cause, which was bringing together DJ’s from different countries.
Solutions
- Develop a communications strategy balancing progressive and culturally relevant aims, and assist with recruiting key local figures to participate.
- Leverage and manage influencers to promote the main event and associated workshop.
- Create social media content and assist in managing official pages, organizing media interviews, writing and distributing a Save The Date press release and developing several feature stories and promo videos, as well as production and placement of radio mentions.
- Pushed call for applicants to increase attendance of Ugandan women at the DJ workshop.
Results
- Trended #1 on Twitter in Uganda on event day.
- Exceeded our target of 3 TV/radio interviews, arranging 6 appearances.
- Generated 14 online media stories.
- The main event had a strong turnout and people had a good time.
